It all begins with an idea…

Well what can I say other than, “it’s about time!” I guess I could say, “welcome to our blog” to start! Here we are, over 4 years into this great idea we had of building a dream home. Better late than never! I’m very much looking forward to blogging about the difficulties of actually building something instead of just the difficulties of planning to build something. The land deed is signed, the floor plan is complete, the lot is nearly cleared and we actually have a driveway staked out. Might not seem like much, but we are very excited to see progress! All we need now is for the well permit to be approved and we can actually break ground!

So, what do we do while we wait for permits? Well, have you ever actually thought about how many things you need to acquire for a house? Windows, flooring, appliances, sinks, tubs, toilets, fixtures, lighting, fans, light switches…..let’s just say we are not bored! Did you know they have toilets that’ll flush a whole bucket of golf balls?? I’m sure we’ve been a constant source of entertainment for the people around us in the hardware store! Ha!
